Angela Established OC Skin Secrets in Orange County 1996 and moved to LA in 2001 and started her 2nd Beauty Spa. Our mission statement “We take our time to please our customers” This is something I take very serious says Angela Imperato owner and Esthetician and husband actor Carlo Imperato (known as Danny on hit show “FAME” back in the eighties.

Angela is a Licensed Esthetician and holds many certificates for Massage Therapy, Reiki Energy Healing, IONIC Detox Foot Bath, Eyebrow Designing, Extensive training on problem skin using European products such as Dr. Grandel & Phyris Cosmetics. Brazilian Bikini waxing is one of her specialties. She donates and gives complimentary services to Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October and has appeared in many infomercial's using her spa as a Beauty Center for programs that promote healthy Skin Care and giving her professional advice for movies such as the "40 Year Old Virgin".

As a seasoned Facialist who has a passion for SKIN CARE, men, women & teens are all welcome. Angela is a beautiful woman with flawless, gorgeous young skin, and don't we all want to get services done by someone who can practice what they preach? OC Skin Secrets have a variety of services include peels, exfoliations, waxings (for men and women), acne treatments, microdermabrasions, and eyebrow shaping.

My publisher (a male) and I decided to be guinea pigs for some of the most popular treatments. My goal was to persuade my male partner-in-crime that even men need facials. In fact, they need them more frequently than they think, since men are usually more guilty of neglecting to wash their faces like we women do. Living in Los Angeles means living with air pollution - and this sometimes invisible pollution causes grime and dirt build-up to clog and infect your pores, thus causing many of the skin problems men and women suffer from. I have relatively normal skin with small pores (and I always use sunscreen), so Angela didn't have too much to recover. I did the Glycolic Acid Peel, which uses a naturally occurring compound that is derived from sugar cane and has a variety of benefits. This peel is good for all skin types - those who want to minimize break-outs, tighten the skin, remove excess pigment and improve overall skin tone, circulation and color. It's a quicker process than most facials and is not painful, which is contrary to many people's belief. All I felt was a slight tingle and Angela is good about replenishing the skin with a masque, which also reduces any redness that may occur.

Now, it was my publisher's turn to get some treatments and he decided to do the Alpha Vital Skin Resurfacing aha-bha facial, a 50 or 70 minute treatment. He was relaxed and comfortable throughout the facial, and came out of it looking like he had just been on vacation from his troubles! The fruit acid treatment uses organically sourced Aha-Bha from newly picked fruits, so it smells wonderful. The Alpha Vital instantly improved the roughness on his skin and the "fruitplasty" peel off mask made his complexion look younger and more vital. In addition, he received a neck/ shoulder wax, getting rid of those unwanted rouge hairs that are common to men. Waxings can feel somewhat painful the first time around, but Angela was patient and eased any discomfort throughout the process.

Angela has been a professional skin care business owner since 1996. She is great about educating her clients on her products and unique approach to skin care. The facility is quiet, serene and very soothing. It's a small day spa, so you won't have to deal with trying to locate your "locker room" or sitting in jacuzzis with other individuals.
